Rowan Island Blend Fine

Rowan Island Blend Fine is presented in skeins that collect the best fibers. Due to its composition, it has some little hairs that provide a great softness to the ball and with a maximum quality.

It is the little sister of the Island Blend wool, also by the Rowan brand, which has the same characteristics but thicker.

What is the composition of Rowan Island Blend Fine ?

• 70% merino wool
• 15% baby alpaca
• 15% silk

The merino wool that makes up Island Blend Fine is obtained from the best merino sheep in the Falkland Islands (Maldives), a place where these animals are found in the wild, resulting in fibers that are highly valued for their whiteness, softness and excellent quality.

The silk provides a unique shiny touch and the baby alpaca fibers result in an incredible softness in this special ball.

What are the characteristics of Rowan Island Blend Fine?

• Each skein has 50 grams and about 165 meters.
• Its thickness is ideal for working with 3.25 mm needles.
• To make a sample of 10 x 10 cm, mount 26 stitches and do 34 laps.
• Hand wash with bleach-free products.
• Dry flat
• Do not tumbler dry.
• Do not machine wash.
• Do not iron.

How many balls do I need to make my projects?

• To knit a sweater in size 42 ,you will need between 7 and 8 balls.
• To knit a long scarf, you will need 5 balls.
