Katia Alpaquina

Katia presents Alpaquina, a wool that comes in skein format and is made almost completely of superfine alpaca, mixed with some polyamide fibres. Its twisted and fine thread offers small hairs, that will give a very original effect to your project.

It is a perfect ball to knit resistant and soft garments for the whole family. Moreover, it has the Easy Wash treatment, that allows you to wash it in the washing machine as many times as you like, without fear of damaging it. 

It is available in a light colour palette, such as beige, grey or light green. Combine them and knit your next winter sweater!

Alpaquina by Katia is made of…

• 75% Easy Wash alpaca Superfine
• 25% polyamide

Thanks to the Easy treatment, the superfine alpaca fibres will be more resistant to washings and will not be damaged over time. Alpaca wool has some great thermal qualities, that will keep your body temperature on the coldest days of the winter.

Which are the features of Alpaquina by Katia?

• Each ball has 100 grams and 360 metres. 
• Its thickness is perfect to knit it with 2 – 2,5 mm knitting needles or with the 2,5 – 3 mm crochet hook.
• Mount 39 stitches and do 32 laps to make a 10 x 10 cm sample.
• It can be washed in the washing machine up to 30º C.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Iron low.
• Do not bleach.

• To knit a long sleeve sweater size 42 you will need around 5 balls.
