Katia New Ekos

Katia New Ekos is a sustainable yarn, perfect for the environmentally conscious knitters. It is made of recycled fibres that help to reduce our footprint on the planet, thanks to the Recover Textile Recycling System.

The yarn is made of recycled polyester, which comes from plastic bottles, recycled cotton and other recycled fibres. You'll find undyed colours, so there is also a total reduction in water consumption and no chemicals are involved in the manufacturing process.

During the recycling and manufacturing process, 50% solar energy is used, which helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

It is a cord-like material, perfect for making accessories to decorate the home, such as cushions or rugs, and accessories for yourself, such as bags or backpacks.

Katia New Ekos is made of:

• 55% Recycled Polyester from plastic bottles
• 42% Recycled cotton
• 3% Other fibres

Which are the features of Katia New Ekos?

• Each ball has 50 grams and 55 meters.
• Its thickness is recommended to work with the 5 – 5.5 mm knitting needles or crochet hooks.
• Mount 14 stitches and do 21 rows to knit a 10 x 10 cm gauge.
• Machine washing at 30ºC maximum.
• Ironing at 110ºC maximum.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Dry flat.
