Katia Tencel - Merino

Katia Tencel-Merino is an extrafine and an environmentally friendly yarn of Concept by Katia. The combination of lyocell and virgin wool offers comfort to your skin.

This yarn provide an elegant result with a shiny touch. It is made of fine threads twisted on themselves in order to get a polished and thin thread.

It is the perfect yarn for knitting pulls, tops, foulards, cardigans and other women clothes and complements. Your projects will be warm, light and comfortable.

The Katia Tencel – Merino is made of:

• 70% Lyocell.
• 30% Merino virgin wool.

The lyocell fiber is one of the newest in the market. It comes from the pulp of the eucalyptus wood and offers a soft and resistant effect on your skin. In addition, this fiber is treated with non-toxic chemical products.

Its combination with virgin wool provides a warm effect despite of being light and fine.

You should know that Katia Tencel-Merino…

• Each ball has 50 grams and 135 metres.
• Its thickness is perfect to knit with the 3 – 3.5 mm knitting needles or the 2.5 – 3 mm crochet hooks.
• To knit a long sleeve pull size 42 you will need 9 balls.
• Mount 22 stitches and do 29 laps to knit a 10 x 10 cm square with the 8 mm knitting needles.
• It can be washed in the washing machine up to 30ºC.
• Do not use the dryer.
• It can be ironned at a low temperature.
• We recommend you to dry it horizontally without hanging out.

This yarn is perfect for knitting fine clothes for autumn and winter. You will be warm with light clothes, such as pulls, dresses, cardigans, etc.
