Malabrigo Lace is a wool obtained from the best merino fibers from sheep raised in northern Uruguay.

It is a totally natural wool, hand-dyed by artisans in small lots. The colors obtained are absolutely incredible due to its intensity and brightness. With this wool you will be able to make all kinds of garments or accessories with a spectacular colouring, either in solid tones, multicoloured or with a marbled effect... Choose your favourite combination!

They are hand-dyed, there are only 5 skeins of each dye. To avoid sudden changes in colour for larger jobs, it is advisable to alternate the different dyes during your work.

This is a single-ply wool that is characterized by its large size, so it is perfect for making accessories such as shawls with a fall. To make other types of garments or accessories, we recommend you make a sample first.

Baby merino wool is known for its thermal properties, as well as for its softness and lightness.

What are the characteristics of Malabrigo Lace?

  • Each ball contains 50 grams and about 430 meters.
  • Its thickness is ideal for working with needles of 2 - 2.75 mm.
  • To make a 10 x 10 cm sample, mount 32 stitches.
  • Hand wash and in cold water.
  • It is recommended to dry horizontally without stretching.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron.

How many balls do I need to weave my work?

  • To make a long-sleeved sweater in size 38, you will need about 4 skeins.
