Schachenmayr Alpaca classico

Schachenmayr Alpaca Classico is a medium thickness yarn made of merino wool and alpaca perfect for knitting winter clothes and complements such as scarves, snoods, sweaters and more.

The Alpaca Classico thread is made by 3 fine ends twisted on themselves forming a braid effect.

It is available in matt tones like brown, maroon, grey, hard green, blue and other colours to be combined with your autumn/winter clothes and complements.

Schachenmayr Alpaca Classico is made of:

• 60% merino virgin wool
• 40% alpaca superfine

The wool acts as a thermal regulator keeping your body temperature warm even on the coldest days.

Alpaca Classico is a fluffy, warm and nice yarn thanks to the alpaca fibres.

You should know that Alpaca Classico…

• Each ball has 50 grams and 90 metres.
• Its thickness is perfect to knit with the 4.5 – 5.5 mm knitting needles or crochet hooks.
• Mount 18 stitches and do 25 laps to knit a 10 x 10 cm square.
• We recommend you to hand wash this yarn.
• Do not use the dryer.
• It can be ironned at a low temperature, up to 110ºC.

• To knit a kid winter cap size 6 years you will need 50 grams.
• To knit a scarf you will need 200 grams.
• To knit a kid sweater size 6 years you will need 450 grams.
• To knit an adult cap you will need 100 grams.
• To knit a women sweater size M you will need 650 grams.
• To knit men sweater size M you will need 800 grams.
