Schachenmayr Catania Fine

Schachenmayr Catania Fine is a fine yarn composed of 100% cotton perfect for knitting baby, children and adult clothes. Its thickness and composition are perfect for knitting garments for the spring/summer season. This yarn is perfect to combat the high temperatures.

It’s also perfect for making amigurumis’ projects.

Its small thickness makes it a superfine yarn. This collection offers a wide range of colours, so you can choose your favourite one. If you prefer to use a thicker yarn, we recommend you Schachenmayr Catania because it has the same characteristics as Catania Fine. Its thickness is perfect to knit with the 2 – 3 mm knitting needles or crochet hooks.

Schachenmayr Catania Fine is made of:

• 100 % mercerized cotton  

 The cotton fibres make it a perfect fabric for the little ones. This fibre will bring a soft and comfortable touch to your garments. It’s also a fresh fabric, perfect to support the high temperatures.

You should know that…

• Each ball has 50 grams and 165 metres.
• Its thickness is perfect to knit with the 2 – 3 mm knitting needles or crochet hooks.
• Mount 28 stitches and do 36 laps to knit a 10 x 10 cm square.  
• It’s a superfine yarn.
• It can be washed in the washing machine up to 40ºC. 
• Do not use the dryer. We recommend you to dry it horizontally.
• It can be ironed at a medium temperature.
• To knit a short sleeve sweater size 40, you will need to use 450 grams = 9 balls.
