Schachenmayr Wash+Filz-It! Multicolor is a Limited Edition yarn with which you will be able to make your felted pieces easily. You only have to knit and then wash to get that characteristic felted look.

You must take into account that the knitted yarn will shrink between 30% and 40% after washing, so you must knit your project in a bigger size to get the desired size.

This yarn has a multi-coloured appearance with different speckled colours, which will give a funny result to your projects. It is perfect to knit warm pieces like a bonnet or some bootees. You can also use it to make baskets, bags, poufs and other accessories where you need resistance and hardness.

Which are the features of  Schachenmayr Wash+Filz-It! Multicolor?

  • Each ball has 200 grams and 200 meters.
  • Its thickness is recommended to work with the 8 - 9 mm knitting needles.
  • Mount 11 stitches and do 16 rows to knit a 10 x 10 cm gauge.
  • First washing should be done in the washing machine to felt the yarn.
  • After the first washing, hand washing is recommended.
  • Tumble drying is not recommended for this wool.
  • Ironing is not recommended.

To felt the yarn you must wash your project in the washing machine at 40ºC. Once you have done the first washing, it is recommended to do the following ones by hand.
