This ancient handmade technique comes from the shepherds of North India who created ornaments for their animals and jewelry for the women with colored threads. The ply splitting technique consists of interlacing different threads: you only have to introduce a twisted thread in the middle of another one with this needle. 

You can work with different thread materials: cotton, linen, silk, polyester, acrylic and much more.
